About Our Nextcloud Direct Link Generator

This tool converts public Nextcloud share URLs (usually starting with `/s/TOKEN`) into direct download links. It works best for links pointing to specific files.

How Does It Work?

• Get Share Link: From your Nextcloud instance, copy a public share link.
  • For a single shared file: `https://your.cloud.com/s/FILE_TOKEN`
  • For a file within a shared folder: `https://your.cloud.com/s/FOLDER_TOKEN/path/to/your/file.ext`
• Paste URL: Paste the Nextcloud share URL into the input field above.
• Generate: Click "Generate Link".
• Copy Link: The tool will attempt to construct a direct download link.
  • If the input URL points to a single shared file (e.g., `/s/FILE_TOKEN`), the direct link will be `.../s/FILE_TOKEN/download`.
  • If the input URL points to a file within a shared folder (e.g., `/s/FOLDER_TOKEN/path/to/file.ext`), the direct link will be `.../s/FOLDER_TOKEN/download/path/to/file.ext`.

Important Notes:

• Public & No Password: This tool is designed for publicly shared Nextcloud links that are not password-protected. Password-protected shares require interaction and cannot be directly linked this way.
• File Specificity: If your share token (`/s/TOKEN`) points to a folder, you must include the full path to the specific file within that folder in the URL you paste (e.g., `https://your.cloud.com/s/TOKEN/MyDocuments/Report.pdf`). If you only provide a folder's share token, this tool cannot guess which file you intend to download.
• Nextcloud Version/Config: Direct link formats can sometimes vary slightly based on Nextcloud server configuration or version. The generated link follows common conventions.
